WOOLENS FAQ

Made for you, made to last. Our pricing reflects the realities of small-scale farming, regional fiber processing, and thoughtful production. We source wool locally, pay farmers sustainable rates, and produce in small batches using minimally processed natural fibers. These pieces are made to last — designed for daily wear, simple care, and years of use. We believe that when materials are honest and well made, they hold value far beyond a single season.

Aurora woolens are made from minimally processed, natural fibers and are designed to last for years with simple, thoughtful care. Wool is naturally antimicrobial and odor-resistant, so most pieces rarely need frequent washing - often, a good airing out is enough.
When washing is needed, gently hand wash or use a delicate/handwash cycle in cool water with a mild, natural detergent suitable for wool. Avoid hot water, agitation, and conventional detergents, which can damage the fiber and cause shrinkage. After washing, reshape while damp and lay flat to dry away from direct heat.
With proper care, wool softens and improves over time, becoming a lasting layer you can return to season after season.
